---Discussion #2---
Please join on Saturday afternoon for some food and talk at RM -
// 2pm, Saturday 5 November,
// RM, Ground Floor, 295 Karangahape Road, Newton, Auckland
-----
Earlier this year RM hosted a discussion examining potential models for a new type of artist in residence program in Auckland, bringing together Steve Carr, Liyen Chong, Matt Ellwood and Dane Mitchell to talk about their recent residencies. This Saturday we will continue some of the threads of this conversation, with a specific focus on what an artist-run-residency might be, with reference to the philosophies and strategies presented by the Headlands Center for the Arts -- the catalyst for the 'Drift of Summer' exhibition currently showing.
Please join RM and Richard Maloy as we discuss his time at Headlands and thoughts about the potential for these kinds of experiences in Auckland.
---Discussion-----
//Sat. 11/06, 1pm:
This Saturday afternoon RM will be hosting a discussion examining models for artist in residence programs. Bringing together a number of artists who have recently completed residencies, the discussion will look at the type of structures, initiatives and philosophies driving these residencies, as well as reflecting on how the residencies shaped the artist's experiences.
This will be an open discussion and we welcome anyone who would like to make a contribution.
A light lunch will be supplied.
-----------
This discussion featured contributions from Steve Carr, Liyen Chong, Matt Ellwood, Dane Mitchell, Nick Spratt & Lauren Winstone.
